I have been reading an excellent book detailing the impact of Christianity on the various spheres of life in the last 20 centuries. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the topic.
Title: What if Jesus Had Never Been Born?
Authors: D. James Kennedy & Jerry Newcombe
Here are some topics discussed in the book:
World History / Value of Human Life / Compassion / Education / Founding of America / Civil Liberities / Science / Economics / Sex (Viewed Biblically) / Medicine / Morality / Art...
This is a look at the 'Science' chapter. It is listing Christians who FOUNDED BRANCHES OF SCIENCE:

So, could somebody explain to me again how faith is 'anti-thetical' to Science? Perhaps our understanding of an orderly set of rules that a God of order established for His creation made us expect to FIND an underlying set of orderly rules. The same holds true for mathematics, music, economics and others...
If you get the chance to check out this book, do so.

O come, O King of nations, bind
In one the hearts of all mankind.
Bid all our sad divisions cease
And be yourself our Kin...

Amazing!
Not surprising though, the basis of moden science is that the Universe is ordered and predictable. This fits with a design theory or creation model but is at extreme odds with an evolutionary and random model.
